Public bug reported:
Audio stops when the screen blanks as set by Power Saving -> Screen Blank time.
This is a new and unexpected behavior (hence bug) after upgrading to 24.10 from
24.04. This did not occur for me in any previous version of Ubuntu.
All audio stops and does not appear to be related to the application - tested
with web based player in Firefox and console based player (mpv).
I tested with a USB-C dock and a Pulse tunnel sink - no local on-chip audio
(another story) with the same effect.
The weird buggy bit is that if I attach a Bluetooth headset the behavior stops,
for the headset, and for all the other sinks - i.e it works as expected.
If I disconnect the Bluetooth headset it does not drop off the PAVucontrol list
of sinks, but audio from all other sinks continues after the screen is blanked.
So the workaround is to attach a Bluetooth headset and disconnect it 8)
(or disable screen blanking)
Restarting `pipewire-pulse` resets the behavior to audio stopping on
screen blank suggesting that this really is a pipewire problem and not
related to network or Bluetooth subsystems.
I am happy to provide debug logs and test upstream etc. if required.
