If I understand correctly, the issue is dependent on the GCC version.
I tested it before submitting the patches.
On Focal, the issue cannot be reproduced because the GCC version is outdated.

I still submitted an SRU for Focal because the change appears to be fine for
the openafs-client.
It's completely okay if we decide not to proceed with the SRU process on Focal.
For Jammy, I was able to reproduce the issue on a GCP ARM64 VM, but I'm unsure
why it can't be reproduced on an Azure ARM64 VM.

aarch64
root@openafs-jammy-arm:~# uname -rv
