Hi Mauricio,

If I understand correctly, the issue is dependent on the GCC version.
I tested it before submitting the patches.

On Focal, the issue cannot be reproduced because the GCC version is outdated.
    root@openafs-focal-arm:~# gcc --version
    gcc (Ubuntu 9.4.0-1ubuntu1~20.04.2) 9.4.0
Copyright (C) 2019 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
This is free software; see the source for copying conditions. There is NO
warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

I still submitted an SRU for Focal because the change appears to be fine for
the openafs-client.
It's completely okay if we decide not to proceed with the SRU process on Focal.

For Jammy, I was able to reproduce the issue on a GCP ARM64 VM, but I'm unsure
why it can't be reproduced on an Azure ARM64 VM.
    root@openafs-jammy-arm:~# lsb_release -sc
    jammy
    root@openafs-jammy-arm:~# uname -m
    aarch64
    root@openafs-jammy-arm:~# uname -rv

    root@openafs-jammy-arm:~# modprobe --verbose openafs
    insmod /lib/modules/6.5.0-1025-gcp/updates/dkms/openafs.ko
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'openafs': Exec format error
