Public bug reported:
Trying to access a smb/cifs network share with \\name or
smb://san.vdp.it in Kubuntu 24.10 KDE Plasma 6.1 raise this error:
Invalid protocol smb
Clicking the Network Icon under Remote section shows: Apple devices,
Bluetooth, Google Drive, MTP devices and Network services but not
Windows shares.
Moreover, clicking on the Network icon in the Remote section, and then
alt+l to the url bar, then clicking on the dropdown arrow on the remote
button, the protocols that are shown are: file. fish, ftp, sftp, webdav
but no smb.
I had a look on kioslaves and kio-extras reinstalling them but with no
effect.
