the thing is that I am having this problem for a long time and signed it up and therefore get news about it for more than a year. as I've seen, the other bugs are usually solved within a couple of months, if trust the reports. The patch is produced and sent by Ubuntu team as an update. Which hadn't happened with this fast repeat bug. And I am not filing many bugs either. :-) > is there a way we can trace where in the process of keyboard input the > error is occuring? whether it is from the kernel, xorg, etc. I think, the fact that it is experienced at login might be a good sign - not that many processes are loaded at that point, so it should be easier to detect, which one is the cause. Anyway, I can't do it myself, therefore signed up to this file and am asking for help :-) > the bug is confirmed but no one has been assigned to it. i filed it > almost a year ago... it seems at least I did. It's a long time ago, right... -- repeate rate problem, sometimes repeats character many times while typing. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/92594 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
