Public bug reported:

As per the discussion here...

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=492983

It seems WSLU is trying to open folders on the Kubuntu desktop, and
causing the folders to not open at all.

user@SYSTEM:~$ xdg-open /home/user/Desktop
grep: /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc/WSLInterop: No such file or directory
WSL Interopability is disabled. Please enable it before using WSL.
grep: /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc/WSLInterop: No such file or directory
[error] WSL Interoperability is disabled. Please enable it before using WSL.
user@SYSTEM:~$ /usr/bin/wslview: line 216: /mnt/c/Windows/System32/reg.exe: No
such file or directory
/usr/bin/wslview: line 308: [: -ge: unary operator expected
[error] This protocol is not supported before version 1903.

Kubuntu 24.04 LTS

user@SYSTEM:~$ apt-cache policy wslu
wslu:
  Installed: 3.2.3-0ubuntu3
  Candidate: 3.2.3-0ubuntu3
  Version table:
 *** 3.2.3-0ubuntu3 500
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu noble/universe amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I didn't manually install this, so it was pulled in by something else,
like VirtualBox possibly. I can't open folders on my desktop, and some
other things (like "Mount and Open" when inserting a USB drive).

Thanks.

** Affects: wslu (Ubuntu)
