Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You can remove the faulty initrd by running:
sudo update-initramfs -d -k 4.1.3.0-11-generic
On Ubuntu 24.04 (noble) even with the faulty initrd present in /boot,
"update-initramfs -u -k all" works. So I am marking this bug as fixed.
