Public bug reported:
It is possible to install both open and non-open versions of the LRM
drivers. This results in nvidia.ko and others to be present twice under
different paths:
$ ls /lib/modules/6.8.0-1016-aws/kernel/nvidia-*
/lib/modules/6.8.0-1016-aws/kernel/nvidia-535srv:
bits nvidia-drm.ko nvidia-modeset.ko nvidia-peermem.ko nvidia-uvm.ko
nvidia.ko
/lib/modules/6.8.0-1016-aws/kernel/nvidia-535srv-open:
nvidia-drm.ko nvidia-modeset.ko nvidia-peermem.ko nvidia-uvm.ko nvidia.ko
this was achieved using ubuntu-drivers:
$ ubuntu-drivers install nvidia:535-open
$ ubuntu-drivers install nvidia:535
