Ubuntu 14.10 (utopic) reached end-of-life on July 23, 2015.
Ubuntu 14.04 (trusty) reached end-of-standard-support on April 25, 2019.
Works for me using Kubuntu 24.04.
As seven users saw the reported issue but have made no comments for almost
ten years I will assume the bug was fixed some time ago so closing.
