Public bug reported:
This is seen on Ubuntu 24.04 and is a regression from Ubuntu 20.04.
When selecting a file in Caja, then pressing F2 to edit the filename,
(optionally adjusting the text selection with mouse or arrow keys), then
ctrl-C to copy:
- expected behaviour: The selected text goes into the paste buffer. For
instance when editing the name of another file afterwards, this allows
pasting the copied text as part of the new filename.
- actual behaviour: The file object goes into the paste buffer. For
instance when editing the name of another file afterwards, ctrl-V will
not paste any text into the new filename, instead a copy of the first
file will be created in the current folder.
** Affects: caja (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
