Let's say a file is opened in gedit.
So if I click "open" (file), I'd expect the file browser to open in the same
directory as the currently open file.
What happens in practice, however, is that the file browser opens on a pretty
random location.
This is very inconvenient, as if I need to open a few files in the same
directory, I need to locate each file anew.
