Public bug reported:
Good evening,
I hope you can help.
I have recently updated to Ubuntu 24.10 from 24.04LTS on a Raspberry Pi
5 with 8GB ram.
Prior to the update i could access any of my external USB hard disk
drives, but since the update to 24.10 non of my external drive mount.
They are listed in 'files' but when i try to access them I get the
following message -
Unable to access usb drive, not authorized to perform operation (polkit
authority not available and caller is not uid 0)
I also get the same message if i try to mount the drive via 'Disks'
Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Kind regards
Andrew
