** Description changed:

- Whenever I unlock my laptop (from sleep or when suspended) or
- reboot/boot it, the volume will always be set to max.
+ After upgrading from 24.04.1 LTS to 24.10, everytime when my laptop is
+ unlocked (from sleep or when suspended) or rebooted/booted, the volume
+ will always be set to max.

  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Set the volume to a low level (e.g., 20%).
  2. Lock the laptop screen (Super + L).
  3. Unlock the laptop screen.

  Expected behavior:
The volume should remain at 20%.

  Actual behavior:
The volume is set to 100% after unlocking.

  Additional information:
  - This happens every time I unlock the laptop.
  - I'm using the built-in audio on my HP EliteBook 840 G10.
  - I haven't made any custom audio configurations.
  - If I have headphones connected (via Bluetooth) when repeating this
scenario, the volume stays the same.
-
+ - If laptop goes to sleep when music is playing, the volume will be set to
MAX when locked.
