Public bug reported:
I have been having resolution issues on my machine and noticed that I no
longer have a /etc/resolv.conf file (I have a dead link in its place
that points to /etc/resolvconf/run that itself points to a non-existent
/dev/shm/resolvconf). I have recently synced to the latest updates
(today) and am running on a vmware instance.
