I was interested in learning the workings of .desktop, .menu and .directory files as well as practicing python (2nd useful script ever made) which resulted in the attachment. It needs the sgt-puzzle source package since the icons are in there. (And they are not installed by the makefile :S). Warning! The script writes to /etc/xdg/menus/applications-merged, /usr/share/desktop-directories, /usr/share/applications, /usr/share/pixmaps and /usr/share/icons/hicolor/#x#/apps for # = 16, 32, 48. So, you better check it out before you run it. And of course it needs to be run as root.
As I said, my second script ever which works for my Ubuntu Gutsy install. It might work for you.. but I give no guarantees! ** Attachment added: "Python script that generates a Games submenu with all sgt-puzzle games" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11195360/create-menu-entries.tar.gz -- No desktop entries https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/61039 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
