Public bug reported:
Editing my keyboard shortcuts in the Keyboard Shortcuts setting, after
editing the 3rd one, the entire MATE DE crashed where I could only move
the cursor and see the time change. Otherwise, no windows were
responsive. After Googling the issue, the GitHub page I found suggested
I file a bug report under mate-terminal.
The only solution was to switch to TTY2 and restart the system.
Afterwards, no issues on next boot.
I could not find any specific error messages in the systemd logs or
/var/log/ files.
Release of Ubuntu: Ubuntu MATE LTS 24.04
Package: mate-terminal from MATE 1.26.2
Expected to happen: Can continue to update keyboard shortcuts using the
appropriate settings application
What happened instead: After 3rd keyboard shortcut edited, the MATE DE froze
except for mouse cursor and clock updating.
I ran apport-bug in mate-terminal as well to send the bug info.
