Thank you for the bug report. This error tends to show up when sa-
compile and/or re2c is not installed. Though your logs show that both
were set to be installed. Can you make sure the packages are actually
installed with
sudo apt install re2c sa-compile
and if so, try running the update and compilation again with
sa-update
sa-compile
then restart the service with
sudo systemctl restart spamassassin.service
If it is still failing please let us know
