Public bug reported: exiv2 transition: please remove koko 23.08.5+ds.1-1ubuntu3 and binaries from plucky release pocket
current koko Qt5 version in plucky proposed FTBFS on rebuild/sync in exiv2 transition. https://ubuntu-archive-team.ubuntu.com/transitions/html/auto- exiv2.html#!good,bad,partial,unknown,!notintesting To build koko now needs a new upstream version built with Qt6. However, that has not been packaged yet in Debian. Doing this ahead in Ubuntu has the problem that upstream koko unmodified source tars require network access in the build to download external data files. https://invent.kde.org/graphics/koko/-/blob/release/24.08/README.md?ref_type=heads This requires a repack of the upstream source tars to include those files in Debian/Ubuntu. I am not prepared to do this in Ubuntu as we may end up with a tarball mismatch with Debian when they eventually do it. Koko is a leaf package with no rdeps, so can safely be removed from plucky/release until it can be updated again. ** Affects: koko (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - exiv2 transition: please remove koko koko 23.08.5+ds.1-1ubuntu3 and binaries from plucky release pocket + exiv2 transition: please remove koko 23.08.5+ds.1-1ubuntu3 and binaries from plucky release pocket -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2088157 Title: exiv2 transition: please remove koko 23.08.5+ds.1-1ubuntu3 and binaries from plucky release pocket To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/koko/+bug/2088157/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
