Thanks for the logs.  It's interesting that different runs are failing
slightly differently.

This one failed with, possibly like you mention in the very first run:
Command: ['unshare', '--fork', '--pid', '--', 'chroot', 
'/tmp/tmpgouri547/target', 'efibootmgr', '-B', '-b', '0000']                 
Which appears to be a documented use case for efibootmgr for "Deleting a boot 
option".

I think the next step is to play with the affected device and see if you
can get more information from efibootmgr about why deleting the boot
entry is failing - maybe the efibootmgr argument --verbose will help.
