Hi Markus,
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.
Inspecting the logs, I saw the following in your
/var/log/mysql/error.log:
2024-11-12T06:57:30.047910Z 0 [ERROR] [MY-010262] [Server] Can't start server:
Bind on TCP/IP port: Address already in use
2024-11-12T06:57:30.047952Z 0 [ERROR] [MY-010257] [Server] Do you already have
another mysqld server running on port: 3306 ?
It seems you have something using the same port as the one needed by
MySQL... Could you check it by running:
sudo ss -tulpna | grep :3306
and send us that information?
On the other hand, could it be possible you're using a MySQL snap at the
same time (which is not recommended)? Usually, I might have a clue
inspecting the Dmesg.txt file, but in this case it doesn't collect that
information.
In the meantime, I will mark this bug as "Incomplete." Please set it as
"New" when you provide the requested information. Thanks in advance.
