Hi Jen, "error exit status 12" suggests that sa-compile doesn't have enough memory to recompile the rules [1][2].
This looks like a local configuration issue rather than a bug in the software itself, plus Ubuntu 18.04 (bionic) reached end-of-standard- support on May 31, 2023, and we no longer support it. Please check your configuration to make sure it's correct.
