Hi,
libssl.so.1.0.0 points towards openssl 1 while Ubuntu has been shipping
openssl 3 and libssl.so.3 for several years now.
It seems you're using splunk as can be seen in the output of strace:
/opt/splunk/bin/openssl . I think the issue is that your splunk
installation is either out-of-date, or splunk needs to update its
system. Generally speaking, splunk is shipping binaries with the same
name as Ubuntu and shadowing Ubuntu's. This can lead to all sort of
issues, including such non-working mixes.
If you weren't expecting splunk to be present, you should look into
removing it or disabling it effectively for your account (it looks like
splunk has changed your PATH environment variable).
