From the dmesg, it appears you have mysql installed *both* as a snap and as a deb

[ 4.013168] systemd[1]: Mounting snap-mysql\x2dworkbench\x2dcommunity-15.mount - Mount unit for mysql-workbench-community, revision 15... I'd recommend removing and purging both, pick one or the other and install only that. Larger issue here is twofold: First, the mysql apport hook should detect this situation and let the user know upfront. And second, the mysql deb probably needs to be made aware of the snap (and vice versa). Oh, and third, the apport hook should probably start including 'snap list' in its collected data. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2089288 Title: package mysql-server-8.0 8.0.40-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: installed mysql-server-8.0 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/2089288/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
