Public bug reported:
logcheck flags this warning from uaclient:
Dec 05 06:22:34 triage-plucky python3[113958]:
/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/uaclient/apt_news.py:207: Warning: W:Download is
performed unsandboxed as root as file '/run/ubuntu-advantage/aptnews.json'
couldn't be accessed by user
+'_apt'. - pkgAcquire::Run (13: Permission denied)
I'm not sure whether this is an expected (innocuous) issue or a bug in
uaclient, but either way it shouldn't be included in logcheck's reports.
So this should have an exclusion entered for it.
Since uaclient is ubuntu-specific, this would need to remain in the
package delta for logcheck and probably not something to forward
upstream.
To reproduce, set up a fresh LXD container for the current -devel release, then:
$ sudo apt-get install -y logcheck
$ sudo -u logcheck logcheck
Then launch a mail client (e.g. mutt, or whatever you prefer). Latest
email in the inbox will be the latest report.
