** Changed in: Ubuntu
Sourcepackagename: None => acpi-support

** Summary changed:

- Toshiba ACPI Problem Again
+ networking doesn't work as acpi is disabled on Toshiba laptop

** Description changed:

  There were some problems in Dapper with ACPI being automatically
  disabled when a certain BIOS version was detected (1.60). It would
  appear that ACPI is once again being disabled, fuddled with, or just
  isn't working in the latest Edgy. The side-effect of this is that both
  network interfaces (a Marvell Yukon card and an Intel ipw2200 wireless
  card) do not work or pull IP addresses. There are quite a few errors in
  the dmesg output as shown by the attachments.

  dmesg_nolapic is a default clean install with no special boot options
  dmesg_lapic is a clean install with the 'lapic' boot option.
