A workaround on my system is to include the video driver (in my case i915) in the initramfs.
sudo nano /etc/initramfs-tools/modules sudo nano update-initramfs -u ensure kernel command line includes 'quiet splash' sudo update-grub Reboot lshw -c video will confirm that driver i915 is configured. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2091753 Title: Plymouth fails with kernel 6.8.0-50 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2091753/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
