I have the same problem.
/var/log/vault/audit_test.log {
maxsize 1G
rotate 4
compress
delaycompress
missingok
notifempty
copytruncate
su vault_test vault_test
}
and the timer:
systemctl cat logrotate.timer
# /lib/systemd/system/logrotate.timer
...
[Timer]
OnCalendar=daily
...
The logfile fills in 1h the size of 1GB
But the timer is triggering only once a day
