This is the second laptop of the same model, and the issue is identical: sometimes the screen freezes, but the running programs continue to work. The image remains static, and I have to restart the laptop. In other cases, it just reboots itself. What’s more, after a reboot, the problem persists even in the GRUB menu, where it freezes. However, if I turn it off and then back on, and switch to using Windows (I play games there), there are no issues. The problem occurs only on Linux.
Both laptops were brand new, but I replaced the first one, thinking it was defective. I also tried not connecting anything via USB to rule out external devices, but the issue remains. Switching the graphics mode from hybrid to discrete didn’t help either. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2088440 Title: Xorg freeze To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2088440/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
