Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The relevant dpkg terminal log says:
mv: cannot move '/boot/firmware/vmlinuz' to
'/boot/firmware/vmlinuz.bak': Read-only file system
You need to mount your /boot (or /boot/firmware) partition with write
permission.
