I had the same problenm as fred.
Command relating sudo dpkg configure ... did not succeed.

Thanks to Kimr1508 i tried the command line starting with sudo apt  as
suggested. Another error occoured, prompting me to do the command sudo
dpkg again.

i did and then another install process began. I think my problem is
solved now :-)

I will start the updater via discover again ...
