It looks like you're experiencing the same issue as reported in bug 2067608.
Let's try to keep the discussion in one place.
There are also some ideas for a workaround in comment #10 of that bug
report, spoofing the start of clamav with a specific log message, to
make freshclam happy. Maybe that's worth a try for your case where
ClamAV is not installed anymore.
