Public bug reported:
I think this is the same issue as
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2068904
1. Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
2. Gnome:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 1:44+1build1
Version table:
1:44+1build1 500
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu noble/universe amd64 Package
3. Desktop Sharing is on and I login via Windows App on OSX. The
computer is connected to a display via HDMI.
When I unplug the HDMI cable it should not terminate the remote desktop
share session.
4. Unplugging the HDMI cable from the computer causes the remote desktop
share to close immediately. As soon as I plug the cable back in I can
reconnect. Unplugging the cable from the display instead of the computer
has the same problem.
Turning off the display doesn't cause any problem.
Unplugging the cable does not cause a logout. When I plug the cable back
in the user is still logged in.
