I'm also affected by this. My scripts are in /opt/[application], so the
quick fix of the other users didn't work.

I suspect that there's a new recommended way to deal with custom scripts
that need to be run by monit. I'm of course interested in doing thing
the proper way.

I'm taking the opportunity to thank all current and past maintainers for
the work maintaining this package for so many years !
