Hey, forgot to reference the bug - but I completed that and it is in
Debian and Ubuntu now.
open-vm-tools | 2:12.5.0-1 | unstable
| source, amd64, arm64, i386
open-vm-tools | 2:12.5.0-1 | plucky | source,
amd64, arm64
I'm unsure about when we will get to the usual "backports to last LTS".
12.4.5 is already there in noble done last cycle, do you happen to know if
12.4.5 -> 12.5.0 is an important or unimportant backport for our usual goal of
virtual hardware exploitation?
The changelog looks like the usual " a few things" but not like tremendous new
(virtual) hardware support.
If we could free up some resources by not backporting 12.5.0 and waiting for
whenever a version has something needed there we'd appreciate that. Hope you
can help answering that @John
