Well, the update is a bit harder. In summary: I don't have that with latest Hardy on 64 bits.
Longer info: -When I reported this I was using x86-32 Hardy -I had discovered that if I was deactivating DRI (in /etc/X11/xorg.conf I presume), then I was able to open Blender without problem I then installed Gutsy, and found that blender was working fine. I then try Hardy alpha-2 64 bits CD, and before installing anything, managed to install blender and found that it was segfaulting like I was expecting. So I then install the system (I had kept space on HD for that), then upgraded the system. And now, I just installed blender and launched it hoping to be able to give you newest info with segfaults, but to my surprise blender now works fine. I am running: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -a Linux Arcturus 2.6.24-3-generic #1 SMP Thu Jan 3 22:50:33 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux I think I have 2.6.24-2 in my boot. I'll try to reboot with it and see if the bug is there with it. -- blender-bin crashed with SIGSEGV when starting it (DRI related) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/162740 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
