The fix you propose is a revert of 'ata: libata-scsi: Honor the D_SENSE
bit for CK_COND=1 and no error' but we don't have that commit in 6.8. In
fact that commit was added in 6.10.
It seems yours is a different problem. Has this worked correctly with
older Ubuntu kernels?
