In the original bug report I stated that:

> On Ubuntu 20.04 (development branch), as of today, Additional Drivers
> (software-properties-gtk 0.98.6) reports that the device "Intel
> Corporation: Wireless-AC 9260" is not working, and suggests using a
> manually installed driver (cf. screenshot).

According to my notes, Additional Drivers no longer erroneously reports
that, since at least 2022-10-11 (and probably since well before that
date) (cf. screenshot). I have therefore closed this bug report. Please
re-open if you are still affected.

** Changed in: ubuntu-drivers-common (Ubuntu)
       Status: Confirmed => Fix Released
