Public bug reported:
Title: Alt+Shift+R key combination unresponsive
Summary: The R key becomes unresponsive when pressed while holding down
the Alt and Shift keys.
Description:
A. Issue: When I hold down the Alt and Shift keys simultaneously and
then press the R key, the R key does not register any input.
B. Expected Behavior: The R key should register input, even when held in
combination with Alt and Shift.
C. Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press and hold the Alt and Shift keys.
2. Press the R key while holding Alt and Shift.
3. Observe that no input is registered from the R key.
D. System Information:
- Ubuntu version: 24.04.1 LTS
- Firmware Version: 1.27.0
- OS Type: 64 bit
- Desktop Environment: GNOME 46
- Kernel-Version: Linux 6.8.0-44-generic
- Keyboard Layout: English (US), Vietnamese (Unikey)
E. Troubleshooting Steps Attempted:
- Checked for conflicting keyboard layouts.
- Reviewed system-wide accessibility settings (Sticky Keys, Slow Keys).
- Checked for application-specific keyboard shortcuts.
- Restarted the system.
- Switch between Wayland and Xorg
- Tested other key combinations involving Alt and Shift to see if they work
correctly.
I would be grateful if anyone could provide suggestions or solutions to
this issue.
