Public bug reported:
By running "apt upgrade" on my Lenovo Legion laptop (Nvidia GPU) with 2
external displays, running Kubuntu 24.10, I updated a bunch 2 month old
packages on my daily-driver system to their newest versions - including
an automatic update from kernel version:
6.11.0-9-generic
to:
6.11.0-13-generic (Ubuntu 6.11.0-13.14-generic 6.11.0)
On the newer kernel version both of my external monitors are not
detected by the system, even on the login screen. They also do not
appear in the output of xrandr - there's only the internal display of
the laptop:
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 4096 x 4096
None-1 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y
axis) 0mm x 0mm
1920x1080 60.00*+
The issue disappears (both external monitors work normally) if I boot
from GRUB using the old kernel and reappears whenever I boot again using
6.11.0-13-generic.
