Public bug reported:

Dear Sirs:

Submitting my issue as it could be kernel-related (if not just systemd-
related) so that you can point me in the right direction, in view of my
current limitation in reading (in between the lines!) the logs.

Panoramic outlook of issue: intermittently my machine, at times, does
not "complete the boot sequence", as explained next.

If "sequence" completes successfully then I can switch to VT1 and get an
operational login prompt and no other issues at all.

However, if unsuccessful, then, by switching to VT1, I only get the
splash screen progress bar still going on indefinitely, never to
resolve...

Despite VT7 is fully operational under 'lightdm', switching to whatever
VT (1-6), one only "sees" the splash screen progress bar (indicating
that the 'getty' service either it was not started or, if it was
started, then probably crashed).

There are other services, other than the 'getty' service, that are either
missing or faulty. For instance, from the high-level point of view, by
comparing the outputs of 'service --status-all' from the "working" (<) and
"non-working" (>) scenarios, one gets the following diff:
        2,3c2,3
        <  [ + ]  alsa-utils
        <  [ - ]  anacron
        ---
        >  [ - ]  alsa-utils
        >  [ + ]  anacron
but I did not _yet_ get into the merit of the corresponding specific log
messages regarding these services.

The major diff's in the "non-working" scenario, I could detect so far, were:
1. I can uneventfully log in via 'lightdm', but the corresponding log does not
acknowledge this fact;
2. zram service unstarted;
3. memory detected 4 kiB shorther (???);
4. no getty service, obviously;
5. "unfinished" anacron;
6. "unfinished" 'save/restore sound card state';
7. user-required service (warsaw) unstarted;
8. missing "startup finish" message from systemd.

So far I have compiled the difference between the logs of both scenarios
and produced 20 snapshots of the comparison, which I submit you for your
review.

I am sure your knowledgeable "eyes" are capable of seeing what it is
more likely going on here and, hence, instruct me to enlighten you with
additional details you may require, or on how I am to proceed on the
analysis.

Thanks in advance for attention redendered.
