No. After experienced crashes in Gutsy I downgraded to Feisty. From that point on Gusty and Hardy were tested/"debuged" via Live CDs only and without any binary blob. It definately boils down to the ACPI. apci=off eliminates the problem, but makes system for all practical purposes unusable as the desktop performance is awful: e.g. mouse responsiveness is nil; movements on the screen lag for several seconds compared to the actual mouse movement. Those facts were confirmed even on real Gutsy install.
