I confirm that this issue (at least the original ibus regression in 1.5.29-rc2 and 1.5.29) is still present in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, as we get multiple duplicate bug reports for this issue in Godot Engine downstream:
https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/85664 We used to get reports from other distros when they were on 1.5.29-rc2 or 1.5.29, but most have since moved to 1.5.30 or later and fixed that regression. Ubuntu 24.04 LTS is still stuck on 1.5.29. Could you consider upgrading to 1.5.30, or backporting the fix to 1.5.29?
