the same problem for me, but always freezing when a yt video is running in firefox (switching hardware acceleration in firefox off did not help). usually the screen flickers in white/blue checkers pattern and then the freeze happens a second later. sometimes audio keeps running on. requires REISUB. this is super annoying and very disappointing since i chose this laptop because it had was ubuntu certified...
