Hi,
just wanted to configure a wireguard network connection from xubuntu
desktop with the connection editor.
Ran into these Problems:
- Editor doesn't accept a nameserver address with portnumber
- Editor doesn't accept a wireguard peer address with portnumber
- I can't save at all, because of the following problem:
The wireguard vpn I want to connect to doesn't offer ipv6, it's just
ipv4.
Therefore, I do have configured the ipv4 tab with Method "manual" and
all the required data, but left the ivp6 tab Method as "Ignore".
This fails, networkmanager log shows
<warn> [1739138367.2264] keyfile: load: "/run/NetworkManager/system-
connections/netplan-cloud9.nmconnection": failed to load connection:
invalid connection: ipv6.method: method 'manual' requires at least an
address or a route
and in /run/NetworkManager/system-connections/netplan-cloud9.nmconnection
[ipv6]
method=manual
addr-gen-mode=1
ip6-privacy=0
So although I have selected "ignore", it sets configuration to "manual"
Even if I do select "disabled", it still sets
[ipv6]
method=manual
addr-gen-mode=1
ip6-privacy=0
This smells like a copy-paste-error and that it uses the ipv4 method
where it should use the ipv6 method.
