After upgrading to 24.04, I also have black screen on a 2009 mac mini (9400)
To be precise, It freezes on a distorted NVIDIA logo, and Xorg runs on 95% cpu
constantly.

I see no errors in Xorg or xsession-errors, although, this one is a
little suspicious in boot log:

febr 13 15:45:55 macmini kernel: WARNING: kernel stack frame pointer at
00000000d4c85980 in nvidia-smi:643 has bad value 000000001c6f619c
febr 13 15:45:55 macmini kernel: unwind stack type:0 next_sp:0000000000000000
