Hey @juergh Ive made a second full-installation of Ubuntu 22 latest ISO and updated the system. There is one really interesting note: The same issue Ubuntu 24 suffers is now with Ubuntu 22 as well: The sound sink does not work (despite the sound source working)!
As this Ubuntu 22 got Kernel 6.8, instead of Kernel 6.5 I remember from before, I feel supported in my initial statement that this issue is since Kernel 6.8. Earlier Ubuntu 22 LTS releases should be with Kernel 6.5 and working. If necessary I can look for some earlier ISO and double check. Cheers. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2089400 Title: Fresh install of Ubuntu 24: Intel WhiskeyLake-U (i915) Sound Sink missing despite working Source of same Device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/2089400/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
