I have the same issue after upgrading from 20.04 -> 22.04. In my case it's probably because I'm trying to use it as root:
https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/support-for-non-home-homedirs/11209 "Snapd does currently not support running snaps if the home directory of the user is outside of /home." Yeah, don't lecture me on logging in as 'root'. :-/ I just finished upgrading from 20.04 -> 22.04 in an attempt to bring everything current (24.04). I tried logging out and then in as myself and managed to hang the UI. Syslog is littered with gnome-shell errors. Guess I'll reboot and try again. But my original issue stands - 'root' not being able to run something because of 'policy' is a problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2026758 Title: Bug #2008279 reappears (loss of keyboard input for x11 snaps) if ~/.cache is a symlink To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/2026758/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
