Hi Sam, I set up the upstream kernel bugzilla bug watch for #7598. You should now get updates regarding the upstream bugzilla bug report as well. However, you made a comment that you were able to successfully boot from the Hardy LiveCD? So it would seem that this issue is resolved for the newer kernel. Did you get around to test from an actual install? Thanks.
