Hello Riccardo63, I am astonished to receive your mail. I am not Olivier Gayot, neither Bug 2084032
I have signaled a bug on my computer with version 24.01, and I am not a specialist at all. *To install the new version, I asked ChatGPT that helped me a lot, explaining everything.* I am not sure the bug I met has been fixed : my bug has been linked to another one and I am not sure it is the same. So I go on with version 22.05 as long as it is maintained. I do not miss 24.01 version. Because it caused me a lot of problems : my computer was frozen during system loading, before asking me to log in. I had to reinstall 22.05 version. Happily, *I had saved all my files before.* If you have encountered a bug while installing an ubuntu version : *create 2 root partitions (/) : one for ubuntu 22.05 and one to test ubuntu 24.01.* *and one partition (/home) for the datas * as I install ubuntu every two years, I do not remember what I did last time. For a standard installation, you have to answer the questions and validate each screen. But *it replaces the previous version*, so if there still a bug, you will have to reinstall the previous version. to install on a different partition, it is much more complicated (for me). I would have abandonned without the help of ChatGPT :Â ChatGPT on a phone or another computer while installing the new version, you can ask what to answer at each question.
