It's the only card I have and/or loading drivers for.

I do agree that trouble shooting this is rather frustrating due to the closed
source nature and lack of Adobe's feedback on the issue. (as I have contacted
them a few times about it with little to nothing resolved)
I don't know how but I must have completely missed bug# 104470 and after
reading through it I can see where it might be related to the snd-hda-intel
module.
