After uploading the logs to ChatGPT with Deep Reasoning turned on and waiting 22 minutes, the analysis that came back made it clear that I need to remove:
ubuntu-mate-desktop ubuntu-mate-core These meta packages were used for absolutely nothing, but blocking the upgrade. I am now upgraded to 24.04.
